【Current status of subject】

Our department currently has 59 beds, treats more than 2,400 patients annually, and performs more than 450 bronchoscopy cases annually. Our department has specialist outpatient clinics, expert outpatient clinics and famous doctor outpatient clinics, with an annual outpatient volume of more than 67,000. The department has strong technical strength and advanced medical equipment. It is equipped with 2 Olympus bronchoscopes (1 ultrasonic bronchoscope), 1 Yeager pulmonary function machine, 1 sleep meter and 1 nitric oxide meter. 4 non-invasive ventilators, 1 invasive ventilator, etc.

There are currently 13 doctors, including 2 chief physicians, 2 deputy chief physicians, 5 attending physicians, and 4 resident physicians. The department currently has 6 graduate students or above. There are currently 18 nurses in the general department and 6 supervisory nurses. The Department of Respiratory Medicine is currently a key medical specialty in Fuyang City. At the same time, our hospital is the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine and the Teaching Hospital of Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Our department is responsible for the clinical teaching tasks of this specialty and implements teaching and clinical practice. Apprenticeship and internship teaching work. Our department is a required rotation department for the standardized training of surgical residents in Hangzhou, and has trained a large number of resident doctors who meet the requirements for our hospital and hospitals at all levels in Fuyang District. At the same time, a large number of training doctors come to our department every year for further study and continuing education. Since 2018, our department has begun to support Guizhou Jinping, which has improved the radiation capabilities of our department and our hospital, and at the same time strives to become a key specialty in Hangzhou. While doing a good job in diagnosis and basic research of chronic airway diseases such as COPD and asthma, we will further improve operations such as TBLB, TBNA, bronchoalveolar lavage and bronchial interventional therapy, and improve the diagnostic rate and application scope of bronchoscopy. In line with the requirements of subject development, we attach great importance to scientific research and teaching. By strengthening the connection with Shaw Hospital, we can get more support in business and scientific research, and strive to gradually integrate with higher-level hospitals in the future. Improve the construction of the medical community and establish MDT with departments such as thoracic surgery and radiotherapy to improve the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. In the future, efforts will be made to realize the integrated construction plan of the medical school and affiliated hospitals, and strengthen the integrated construction of the hospital and the school in terms of talent team building, teaching work, scientific research, discipline construction, and organizational management.
