【Growth Process】

In 1957, the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established with one doctor: Ding Xiru. In 1960, the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine Formulations was established, and classes for the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture were held. 1963, Basic Chinese Medicine Theory Study Class. July 1971, Chinese medicine further training class. In 1975, Shen Yuming became a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine. In 1976, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Ward was established with a total of 8 beds. In 1977, the Department of Traumatology was established, with doctors: Zhang Peifu, Zhang Yuzhu, and Wang Xifeng. September 1980, Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Study Class. Through several training courses from the 1960s to the 1980s, the early TCM talent team in Fuyang and our hospital was cultivated and built. In 1980, the Chinese Medicine Pharmacy of our hospital was established. On March 2, 1985, he was a member of the presidium of the first workers’ congress in Chen Shuzhuang. In 1990, there were 20 beds in eight wards. Since January 1997, doctors such as Xu Jun and Lou Yinmei have started chemotherapy services in the Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Ward, providing standardized chemotherapy treatments for common malignant tumors such as lung cancer, gastric cancer, colorectum, lymphoma, and breast cancer. Thoracic and abdominal chemotherapy drug infusion therapy was started at the same time. In 2001, the ward carried out the first pericardial puncture chemotherapy drug infusion treatment. In 2002, local chemotherapy drug lavage combined with systemic treatment for breast and ovarian cancer was launched. In 2003, Director Yang Jiangsheng presided over the completion of the first undergraduate project "Clinical and Experimental Research on Ningchang Decoction in the Treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome" and won the third prize of the Hangzhou Municipal Government's Science and Technology Progress Award. In 2004, it moved into the 6th floor of the new ward building, opened 30 beds, and carried out the first interventional treatment for liver cancer patients. In 2005, Yang Jiangsheng presided over the completion of the first undergraduate continuing education project in Hangzhou. In 2006, it moved into the 17th floor of the new ward building and opened 25 beds. In 2007, it was established as the construction unit of "Hangzhou General Hospital Demonstration Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine". In 2008, targeted drug therapy for lung adenocarcinoma was carried out, and 5-FU chemotherapy pumps were used to treat gastric and intestinal cancer. In 2012, it was established as a “National General Hospital Traditional Chinese Medicine Demonstration Unit”. In January 2014, the first case of pulmonary embolism was performed to treat pulmonary hemoptysis. In May 2015, with the overall relocation of the hospital, it was located on the third floor of the emergency building in the new campus, with 33 beds. In 2016, a rehabilitation ward was established with 3+6 beds, various rehabilitation equipment was introduced, and the clinical business of the rehabilitation department was started. In 2017, the first radiotherapy treatment was carried out. In 2018, a doctoral workstation was built. In May, a medical oncology clinic integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine was opened. In 2019, Lou Yinmei carried out the first case of tumor immunotherapy. In 2019, Li Yangyang launched a traditional Chinese medicine gynecology clinic; Dong Feinan and Yang Yang Fengchun and others launched a traditional Chinese medicine nursing clinic, carrying out services such as acupoint patching, bean embedding in ear points, pediatric growth patches, walking pots, winter diseases and summer treatments, and three-day patching. In January 2022, the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine ward will be moved from the third floor of the emergency department to 8th West, and the second ward of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine and respiratory medicine will be established. In March 2023, the ward was adjusted again, and the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine and hematology wards were established, with the number of beds adjusted to 36.

In May 1979, Shen Yuming was appointed deputy director of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine. From December 1984 to May 1993, Shen Yuming served as director of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine. From April 2002 to January 2003, Yang Jiang was promoted to director of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine. From January 22, 2003 to April 28, 2011, Yang Jiang was promoted to director of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Ward). From January 22, 2003 to April 28, 2011, Xu Jun served as deputy director of the Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Ward. From 2004 to 2011, Zhu Xiaoqin served as deputy director of the Department of Acupuncture and Massage. The Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the First People's Hospital of Fuyang District, Hangzhou was established in 1957. It currently has the departments of Traditional Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine Gynecology, Traditional Chinese Medicine Pediatrics, Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedics, Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture, Massage and Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine oncology, rehabilitation, and gastroenterology. It also opened a ward with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, with 36 beds and 10+12 rehabilitation departments. The department has a total of 20 doctors and 19 nursing staff, including 2 chief physicians (1 famous traditional Chinese medicine doctor in Hangzhou), 5 deputy chief physicians, 8 attending physicians, 2 residents, and 3 therapists. One has a doctorate degree and 8 have master's degrees. The department has published a total of 73 papers, including 3 SCI articles and 8 topics. The expert outpatient clinic has formed a diagnosis and treatment layout of "large comprehensive (acupuncture for women and children with injuries)" and "small specialty (tumor, gastroenterology, rehabilitation)".

At present, the academic team is reasonable, the instruments and equipment are advanced, and the comprehensive strength of medical teaching and research is strong. The department specializes in common tumors (lung cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer, intestinal cancer, esophageal cancer, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, head and neck cancer, etc.) (local tumors, etc.) chemotherapy, radiotherapy, interventional and standardization of cancer pain, palliative treatment with traditional Chinese medicine, and the best symptomatic and supportive treatment.


【Scientific research results】

At present, the Department of Radiology has published dozens of second-class academic papers, 3 first-class academic papers, 1 Chinese series, 4 SCI papers, and 6 Fuyang district-level research projects. The department has a doctoral clinical research work site, and has initiated and completed nearly 8 provincial and municipal level projects. Many scientific research results have reached the domestic advanced level. It has won several Science and Technology Progress Awards from Hangzhou City and Fuyang District, and has successfully hosted provincial and municipal level projects. The municipal continuing education project class published 73 academic papers in national and provincial journals.
