The department currently has 31 beds, treats more than 800 patients annually, and performs more than 300 surgeries annually, 90% of which are medium and large surgeries. It has a thoracic surgery clinic and a pulmonary nodule specialist clinic, with an annual outpatient volume of 5,000. The department has strong technical strength and advanced medical equipment. Among them, the treatment of chest trauma, especially the surgical treatment of rib fractures, is in a leading position in the province. Cardiothoracic surgery is currently a key discipline under construction in Fuyang District. It is responsible for the "medical, teaching, research" and clinical quality control tasks related to the district and Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It has established a clinical research work site for doctoral students in thoracic surgery. The project has been established and completed in the province. 【Technical Features】
At present, the main features of the department are thoracic tumors and thoracic trauma. Lung tumors, esophageal tumors, and mediastinal tumors are almost all operated on under minimally invasive endoscopic surgery, with a laparoscopic rate of over 90%. Currently, there are about 250 cases of thoracoscopic surgeries per year. We have accumulated rich experience in the treatment of chest trauma, and our surgery for rib and sternum fractures is among the best in the province. It is currently a member unit of the Chest Trauma Group of the China Medical Promotion Association and a member unit of the Chest Trauma Group of the Zhejiang Provincial Medical Association.
