The Nephrology (Blood Purification) Department was established in May 2001. It is a key discipline in Fuyang District and the first medical unit to carry out hemodialysis in Fuyang District. Its comprehensive technical level ranks among the top in Hangzhou. The department has specialized outpatient clinics (including peritoneal dialysis clinics), nephrology wards, blood purification centers, etc. Among them, the blood purification center covers an area of more than 1,000 square meters, with 47 hemodialysis beds and an investment of more than 15,000 yuan in equipment; the renal ward has 26 open beds. The department currently has more than 50 medical staff, all of whom are qualified doctors (nurses), including 5 with medical master's degrees, and 10 directors and deputy chief doctors (nurses). It has a group of Chinese doctors and nurses who are brave in innovation and enterprising in the field of nephrology. Young experts are responsible for clinical, teaching and scientific research tasks in kidney diseases.
